Cranberry Apple Thanksgiving Stuffing

Start by cutting your day-old bread into cubes. You can use a mix of white and whole wheat bread for added flavor and texture.

Prep the Bread

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add chopped celery and onion. Sauté until they become tender and fragrant.

Sauté Veggies

Stir in dried sage and dried thyme. The aroma will make your kitchen smell like Thanksgiving!

Add Herbs

In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed veggies, dried cranberries, chopped apples, and chopped walnuts. Mix everything together.

Mix Ingredients

Slowly pour the chicken or vegetable broth over the bread mixture. Make sure it's evenly distributed.

Pour Broth

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remember that the saltiness of the stuffing will depend on your choice of broth

Season

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
